Privacy policy

goodoffer.co.za is a product of Numstack (Pty) Ltd, a South African company (numstack.co.za). Numstack is the "responsible party" for your information under POPIA. goodoffer runs on its own domain and addresses: anything about this policy goes to hello@goodoffer.co.za, and we will answer from there.

When you share a quote: the car (make, model, year, version, condition, mileage, colour), the dealership that quoted you, the price and finance figures on the quote, your province, your email address, your phone number if you choose to give it, and your preferences such as how soon you want to buy and what you’d be flexible on.

If you upload a photo or PDF of the quote: the file is sent to our document-reading provider so the numbers can be extracted. We keep the numbers you confirm. The file is not stored by us after that.

If you apply as a dealer: the dealership name, your name, email, phone number, province and the brands you sell.

When you accept an offer: the fact that you accepted it and when, so both sides can be introduced and the listing closed.

Automatically: ordinary technical information such as your browser, device type, approximate region and the pages you visit, so the site works, stays secure and can be improved. We do not run advertising trackers.

To do what you asked us to do: show your anonymised quote to vetted dealers and banks, pass their offers to you, email you when something happens, and introduce you to the one dealer you choose. To vet and onboard dealers. To keep the service secure and to meet our legal obligations. Where POPIA requires it, we rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by emailing us.

Dealers and their finance partners see the car, the province, your flexibility preferences, and the price and finance figures to beat. They do not see your name, email, phone number, or which dealership quoted you.

When you accept an offer, that one dealer receives your name, email and phone number, and you receive the dealer’s details. No other dealer ever sees your details.

Service providers help us host the site, send email, store data and read uploaded quotes. They act only on our instructions and under contract. Some are outside South Africa; where that is the case we only use providers that protect your information to a standard at least as strong as POPIA, as section 72 of the Act requires.

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with advertisers.

We use only the cookies and browser storage the site needs to work, such as remembering which section you asked to scroll to. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

A listing and its offers are kept for 12 months after the listing closes, so either side can resolve a question or dispute, and are then deleted. Dealer applications are kept while the dealer is on the platform and for 12 months after. Technical logs are kept for 90 days. You can ask us to delete your information sooner at any time.

You may ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent. Email hello@goodoffer.co.za and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforeg.org.za.

goodoffer is for people who can enter into a vehicle purchase, which in South Africa means adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Information travels over encrypted connections and is stored with access limited to the people who need it to do their jobs. No system is perfectly secure. If we discover a breach that affects you, we will tell you and the Information Regulator as POPIA requires.

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and, where we can, email people it affects.
